Sunday Setlist - October 31
Busy weekend at Gospel Light, so this recap is a day late. We had our annual Hallelujah Night event last night. The theme was "Rock Out for Jesus!" - and it lived up the the hype. We had singing contests, air guitar contests, concert videos, strobe lights and a fog machine... tiring but well worth it.
The morning service, now that was something as well. We had a couple of people off this week, so we decided to to a stripped-down acoustic set - just an acoustic guitar and drums, and two vocalists. Here's the setlist:
Opening:
Praise Adonai (Baloche)(C)
Main Set:
For Who You Are (Sampson)(Bb)
Blessed Be Your Name (Redman)(C)
The Heart of Worship (Redman)(D)
Hosanna (Fraser)(E)
Offering:
Eres Todopoderoso (Salinas)(D)
"For Who You Are" is a pretty tough song to carry with one acoustic guitar. I thought my arm was going to fall off in rehearsal! We dropped the key a half-step from normal, which was easier on the vocalists, and also let the guitar sound a little fuller. Hosanna came out great. We used a similar arrangement to the one on the new Hillsong Chapel album.
So that's it for this week... Check out others at The Worship Community, as always.
