Daniel joined us again today, so we had keys as well as guitar.  It was a pretty straightforward set, bolstered by a larger assembly than usual.  The voices sounded great.  We did "Because He Lives" a capella.  I have to admit I wasn't sold on it at rehearsal, but it actually worked out really well.  We also changed the original order up a bit to segue "Mighty to Save" into "Shout to the Lord."

We had a special skit by one of our men's cell groups (Strengthened) which demonstrated the "weight" of sin in our lives, and how Jesus can lift it.

We also had a special dance by some of our youngest children.  This group was all 4-6 year olds.   We always try to have something from the children on Easter Sunday.    As well, Daniel did a special rendition of Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).  We've actually never done this song at Gospel Light, and it was well received, as you can see from the video below.

This all capped off a great Holy Week for us.  We had a Family Seder on Thursday; it was the first time we did anything like that.  We shared Communion during the meal as well, and the worship team sang Remembrance (Communion Song) for the first time. (Maher/Redman) I think it came out really well.  We had a service on Good Friday as well, and a special set that included an original song called Calvary   that will be on the upcoming album.

All in all a busy weekend, but of course, well worth it.  How was your Easter Sunday?   Check out the video below, then check out other recaps at The Worship Community.
